Its a full time program. Somaiya university works in the field of engineering, technology, arts, commerce, applied science, life science, healthcare, language etc.
Research and teacher associateship is a scheme for research oriented post graduates who are interested in full time doctoral research program in university. They can also help in teaching and practical work as per requirement.
This associateship is offered in different subjects. The list of subjects is as follows.
Subjects in science are mathematics, chemistry, physics, life science, biotechnology, computer science etc., in management science the subjects are marketing, general management, HR, finance, economics, data science & technology etc., in engineering the subjects are mechanical, electrical, electronics, computers, IT etc, other subjects are commerce studies, language, dharma studies, humanities and social science etc.
Age of candidates should be 25 years as of January 1st, 2023. Post graduate students will be shortlisted based on outstanding academic record, and one on one interview to evaluate subject knowledge, research aptitude and communication skill.
Selected candidates will receive monthly stipend of Rs. 35000 till 3 years and it will increase in 4th and 5th year. There will be an annual evaluation performed by university to check the performance of researchers and satisfactory performances will continue in scheme.
Candidates who are selected in RTA scheme can register for doctoral degree program or PHD in university and they will be exempted from entrance exam.
