Thermodynamics is a concepts based subject which deals with the interaction between energy and material. It shows relation between heat, work and energy. 

Thermodynamics based on four laws i.e. zeroth law, first law,, second law and third law of thermodynamics. These laws are based on experiments and observations and logical reasoning.
