A set is a well – defined collection of distinct elements or members. The elements that make up a set can be anything: people, letters of the alphabet, or mathematical objects, such as numbers, points in space, lines or other geometrical shapes, algebraic constants and variables, or other sets. Two sets are equal if and only if they have precisely the same elements.
Relations And Functions :
A relation is any set of ordered-pair numbers. In other words, we can define a relation as a bunch ordered pairs.
In mathematics, a function can be defined as rule that relates every element in one set, called the domain, to exactly one element in another set, called the range. For example, y = x + 3 and y = x2 – 1 are functions because every x-value produces a different y-value.
Targeted Audience :
- For All Boards (CBSE, ICSE, IB etc.)
- For competitive exams aspirants like IIT-JEE etc.
- Learners who wants to improve knowledge about sets, relation and function.
